Santo Domingo.- Desde tempranas horas de este sábado militantes de la Fuerza del Pueblo comenzaron a llegar a la Plaza de la Bandera, lugar donde la entidad política opositora celebrará haber superado la meta de dos millones de personas inscritas en su padrón.
En la actividad será desarrollado un gran show artístico y cultural con la presentación de las orquestas de José Peña Suazo, El Jefrey, Jaysel La Melodía y, Sergio Hernández; presentaciones de folkloristas dominicanas, entre otras manifestaciones artísticas.
Además, el secretario de gestión operativa de la FP, Franklin Labour, informó que aquí se manifestará el arte en todas sus expresiones, que estarán diseminados en la Plaza, entre los cuales habrá diablos consuelos, baile folklórico y; distintos pintores, miembros de la organización, expondrán sus pinturas.
El evento culminará con las palabras del precandidato presidencial y presidente de la Fuerza del Pueblo, Leonel Fernández.
La Fuerza del Pueblo había anunciado anteriormente que, realizaba esta actividad como el inicio de una serie de eventos que desarrollará en conmemoración al funesto golpe de Estado contra el gobierno democrático del profesor Juan Bosch, acaecido el 25 de septiembre de 1963.
En ese sentido, ante interrogantes de la prensa esta mañana, Labour dijo que la organización política conmemora el fatídico golpe contra el gobierno de Juan Bosch, pero celebra en la plaza de la democracia, donde la juventud ha levantado su voz por reivindicaciones, que 60 años después este partido progresista ha alcanzado dos millones de afiliados.
Seguridad y accesibilidad
Franklin Labour explicó que hay todo un equipo de aproximadamente 800 personas diseminadas en el espacio de la plaza para garantizar el orden, la conservación de la estructura de la Plaza de la Bandera y la seguridad de los asistentes.
Además informó que más de 300 voluntarios están distribuidos en las calles aledañas para contribuir con la accesibilidad de los compañeros y compañeras al lugar.
