El presidente del Partido Nacional Voluntad Ciudadana (PNVC), Juan Cohen refirió a la prensa en el marco de la celebración de los 50 años de la institución que preside, que es urgente prestar atención a la educación en la República Dominicana, debido a que el 67% de los jóvenes abandona la escuela de primaria a secundaria, apuntó que esta realidad debe cambiar.
De igual forma, estableció que el alto costo de la vida, el cuidado de los envejecientes, la niñez, y los discapacitados también merecen ser atendidos. Cohen agregó que en estos 50 años del partido, celebran hacer las cosas bien y fomentar la educación continuamente.
La Eucaristía de Acción de Gracias realizada en la Catedral Primada de América, contó con la presencia de importantes personalidades del sector político y empresarial, entre ellos Omar Fernández, diputado del partido Fuerza del Pueblo; el Ministro Administrativo de la Presidencia y también Presidente del Partido Revolucionario Moderno, José Ignacio Paliza; Trajano Santana Presidente del PRI.
Además, Maritza Ortiz, Antolín Polanco, Gral. Zorrilla Ozuna, Peregrin Castillo, Elsido Días, Modesto Guzmán, Ismael Reyes y otros…y una representación del actual Presidente del Senado, Eduardo Estrella, entre otros.
