República Dominicana.-Las autoridades despojarán de escoltas policiales a políticos, empresarios, artistas y figuras públicas, que en lo adelante tendrán que pagar seguridad privada.
Así lo dejaron bien establecido el presidente Luis Abinader y Servio Tulio Castaños Guzmán, director de la Comisión para la Reforma de la PN.
El presidente Abinader informó que ya han sido reinsertados al cuerpo policial, alrededor de dos mil 500 agentes al servicio del sector privado.
“Hay un comisión permanente, desde hace algunos meses, que desde ya ha reintegrado más de dos mil 500 y seguiremos haciéndolo hasta logar que cada policía pueda justificar su puesto y sirva al Gobierno, realmente”, indicó el mandatario.
Mientras Castaños Guzmán explicó que la reincorporación de policías al servicio institucionales fue una de las primeras recomendaciones hechas por la Comisión de Reforma de la PN.
“Hay que desmontar la práctica de que artistas llegan a concierto rodeados de policías. El que quiera que lo cuiden, que pague su seguridad”, indicó Castaños Guzmán.
Explicó que hay gente que ha querido resolver de manera individual su problema de seguridad, cuando la solución es colectiva.
