Un integrante de la pandilla «5 segond» de Haití apodado Yeye fue detenido este sábado 6 de mayo en República Dominicana en la localidad de Padre Granero en Puerto Plata.
Según información proporcionada por la Policía Nacional dominicana, la detención de Yeye es resultado de una investigación de la Dirección Regional Norte.
Desde hace varios días, agentes de la policía nacional de Haití han lanzado varios operativos destinados a liberar la entrada sur de la capital de Puerto Príncipe bajo la influencia de la banda «5 Segond» liderada por el caïd Izo. Varios integrantes de bandas armadas resultaron heridos de muerte, otros se dieron a la fuga.
Yeye así conocido, fue detenido en República Dominicana, mientras continúan en Puerto Príncipe las operaciones para desalojar a uno de los mayores grupos armados responsables de masacres y secuestros.
