Un caso de cólera fue confirmado en la ciudad de Puerto Príncipe (Haití), en una localidad denominada Savane Pistache, Decayette, informó el Ministerio de Salud Pública y Población haitiano.
Permanecen en vigilancia unos casos sospechosos en el sector denominado como “Brooklyn” en la ciudad de Cité Soleil, igual en la zona urbana de la capital haitiana, de acuerdo a un comunicado emitido por las autoridades.
“Para evitar contraer el cólera, el MSPP recomienda que todos tomen todas las medidas de higiene adecuadas, a saber: lavarse las manos, beber agua potable (ya sea agua hervida o agua tratada con un producto clorado), la protección de los alimentos, el uso de letrinas para defecar. Cualquier persona con diarrea aguda y profusa debe acudir de inmediato al centro de salud más cercano”, indica el documento.
