El Estado Mayor Conjunto (JCS) de Corea del Sur informó que Corea del Norte disparó el domingo un misil balístico no identificado al mar de Japón (llamado mar del Este en las dos Coreas), en lo que supone una nueva réplica a las grandes maniobras de primavera que realizan estos días en el Sur de la península Seúl y Washington.
El JCS surcoreano se limitó a informar en un breve comunicado sobre el lanzamiento sin ofrecer por el momento más detalles sobre el proyectil o el lugar y hora de lanzamiento. Se trata del undécimo lanzamiento realizado este año por Corea del Norte
La tensión en la península de Corea crece, esta semana Pyongyang probó un nuevo drone submarino de ataque nuclear.
Durante las maniobras, que tuvieron lugar de martes a jueves, el ejército norcoreano desplegó y probó este nuevo sistema de armamento, cuyo objetivo es “provocar un tsunami radioactivo a gran escala” con una explosión submarina, y destruir buques y puertos enemigos, según la agencia de noticias KCNA.
