República Dominicana. – El Ministerio Salud Pública y Asistencia Social (MISPAS), indicó este jueves que su principal fuerza laboral está conformada por mujeres, ya que estas representan el 75 por ciento, del personal colaborador, lo que resalta apego a las políticas de igualdad de género.
La directora de Planificación y Desarrollo, Rosa Inés Medina, quien habló en representación del doctor Daniel Rivera, durante un acto de conmemoración al “Día Internacional de la Mujer” señaló que la institución, dentro de sus prioridades y lineamientos garantiza los derechos para responder a las necesidades productivas en el contexto de las políticas de salud integral.
“Las mujeres somos la principal fuerza de trabajo, porque representamos un poco más del 75 por ciento del personal, desde una perspectiva integral y superando los problemas tradicionales de la fragmentación en los servicios, vemos más allá de la dimensión reproductiva, y reconocemos la necesidad de alcanzar la igualdad como derecho de las mujeres” subrayó Medina.
Además, detalló que coexisten instituciones con acciones apegadas a la transversalidad género y comprometidas el cumplimiento de las estrategias nacionales e internacionales a favor de las mujeres.
