El presidente de la división móvil de Samsung, TM Roh, dijo que bajo esta nueva iniciativa, los auriculares se fabricarán con una combinación del software de Google y el procesador de Qualcomm. Sin embargo, no dio ninguna información sobre cuándo estarán disponibles los auriculares en el mercado.
Al respecto, Hiroshi Lockheimer, vicepresidente sénior (SVP) del departamento de Android de Google, dijo que Google ha estado invirtiendo en tecnología AR y VR durante mucho tiempo. Se requerirá desarrollo de hardware y software para experimentar esta tecnología. Y por ello, Google trabajará con Samsung y Qualcomm.
