Los principales negociadores sobre armas nucleares de EE.UU., Japón y Corea del Sur (Sung Kim, Takehiro Funakoshi y Kim Gunn) mantuvieron este domingo una conversación telefónica, informó la Cancillería surcoreana tras las negociaciones.
De acuerdo a la agencia Yonhap, la conversación tuvo lugar después de las recientes declaraciones del líder norcoreano, Kim Jong-un, que describió a Seúl como «un enemigo evidente» y ordenó a fabricar armas con el fin de «atemorizar» a EE.UU. y Corea del Sur.
«La declaración del Norte sobre estimular los esfuerzos para fortalecer las llamadas capacidades de autodefensa en respuesta a los pasos para aislarlo es ilógica, y plantearía un desafío a la comunidad internacional y solo empeoraría la situación», señala el comunicado.
Además, los tres diplomáticos hicieron hincapié en que la «única» forma que tiene Pionyang para aliviar la vida de los ciudadanos norcoreanos es abandonar las «provocaciones» y volver al diálogo.
Este sábado y domingo Corea del Norte lanzó cuatro misiles balísticos hacia el mar de Japón.
