El presidente Luis Abinader aseguró que es imposible retornar al confinamiento, ya que no hay las condiciones ni la necesidad de tomar decisiones en ese sentido, al explicar que el Gobierno toma todas la medidas para mantener al país con una salud segura y que pueda continuar desarrollando su economía.
“A los que hablan de confinamiento y de volver atrás, eso es imposible, no hay las condiciones y tampoco la necesidad en ese sentido. Este país ha sufrido mucho y podemos ir avanzando cuidando la salud y también la normalidad de todas nuestras actividades”, manifestó el mandatario.
El mandatario informó que el Gabinete de Salud determinó en el día de ayer una partida especial de 1,500 millones de pesos para medicinas y abastecer las farmacias del Pueblo.
Agregó que el Gabinete de Educación se reunirá mañana para determinar si se retornará a las clases del día 11, como estaba previsto.
Al ser abordado por periodistas previó a la rueda de prensa convocada por el Ministerio de Turismo, el mandatario reiteró que la variante Omicrón es la más contagiosa y también la menos letal, pero resaltó que no hay un solo caso de alguna personas que se haya contagiado con esa variante que haya fallecido.
El jefe de Estado indicó que el Gabinete de Salud se endientes todos los días evaluando la situación del COVID-19 y tomando la decisión adecuadas, y por tal razón el país tiene una de las menores letalidades en el mundo.
