República Dominicana.- El doctor Senen Caba encabeza el conteo de los votos para la presidencia del Colegio Médico Dominicano (CMD) para el período 2021-2023, cuando se ha computado el 15 % de los centros de votación a nivel nacional, unos 600 sufragios.
Caba dirigió ese gremio entre 2009-2011.
Según la comisión electoral, Caba avanza con 298 votos frente a su rival más cercana, Yuberkis Aquino, que suma 170.
Le sigue Luis Peña Núñez, con 92 sufragios obtenidos, hasta el momento, y Amarilis Herrera, que lleva 36.
José Miguel Encarnación, presidente de la Comisión Electoral, dijo que la tendencia es que el doctor Senen Caba es el virtual ganador y esperan tener el 50 % de los resultados oficiales.
Los seguidores de Caba se han mantenido apostados en la sede del CMD celebrando la delantera.
Caba restó importancia al inicio retrasado de las elecciones del gremio que agrupa la clase médica del país.
